McCray will be at the Grayslake Campus Financial Aid Office, Room B114 on Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in July. Beginning in August, McCray will be at the Lakeshore Campus Financial Aid Office, Room N209 on the first Wednesday of each month and at the Grayslake Campus Financial Aid Office, Room B114, on the last three Wednesdays of each month from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. To contact McCray, call (847) 543-2532 or send an e-mail.

Injured military service personnel scholarship
The deadline to apply for a new College of Lake County $1,000 scholarship for injured service members and their spouses has been extended until 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15.
Service members from any branch of the U.S. military who have been injured in the line of duty and his/her spouse are eligible. The service member must have received a “Rating Decision” memo of 10 percent disability or higher (also known as a “service-connected disability”) from the Veterans Administration. Scholarship recipients must meet all eligibility requirements, and awards will be based primarily on the financial need of the applicant. Other considerations will include academic achievement and the desire to learn a new career.
To apply, submit a CLC Foundation Scholarship Application to the College of Lake County Financial Aid office via fax at (847) 543-3062 or by mail. Applications must also include disability documentation and a 300-word essay describing how this scholarship will help you reach your educational goals and how it will impact your future.

CLC increases services and scholarships for veterans
To increase outreach to veterans, the College of Lake County is now hosting weekly visits from a Veterans Service Officer from the Illinois Department of Veterans’ Affairs.
