Beverage and Alcohol Sellers and Servers Educational Training (BASSET) will be offered in English from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 10; from 6 to 10 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 2; and from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Dec. 5; all at the Grayslake campus. The course will be offered in Spanish from 6-10 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3 at the Southlake Campus in Vernon Hills. Cost: $40. BASSET is certified by the Illinois Liquor Control Commission and is required by the Lake County Commission and various other municipalities for facilities licensed to serve and sell alcohol.
A Food Safety Refresher course will be offered in English on Wednesday, Nov. 11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Grayslake campus or in Spanish from 4-10 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 21 at the Lakeshore Campus in Waukegan. Cost: $55. The course is designed for certified food service sanitation managers who are seeking renewal of their five-year Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Food Service Sanitation Manager Certification (FSSMC). This refresher is a condensed version of the 15-hour FSSMC certification course and is for renewal only. Bring your current IDPH license and a #2 pencil to class. Textbook must be purchased prior to class.
