Festo Mobile Mechatronics Lab visits CLC Nov. 13

Check out energy automation careers at the Festo Mobile Mechatronics Lab, a 53-foot long expandable trailer that will visit the College of Lake County Grayslake campus, 19351 W. Washington St. from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 13.

Automation experts from Festo, an international company, will demonstrate the future of energy automation careers to students of all ages, local businesses, groups and members of the community. However, the event will be of special interest to those interested in electronics engineering technology, engineering and mechanical engineering technology.

The Festo mobile lab will have the latest devices, techniques and industry trends used in mechanical engineering for factory automation, pneumatics, electromechanical actuators, process automation and machine design and controls.

There will be hands-on product demonstrations of electromechanical actuators, servo motor controls, medical and lab automation applications, tripod robot sorting with high speed vision system, Festo didactic training work stations, air services, diagnostic measurement, flow sensing valves, process valves, actuators and more. The truck will be located next to the Physical Education Center near parking lot 8 off Willow Way.
