Ceramics of all types will be on sale at great prices Nov. 17-18 in the CLC Atrium.

Ceramics of all types will be on sale at great prices Nov. 17-18 in the CLC Atrium.

Original pottery created by the talented artists from the College of Lake County Ceramic Art Club will be available for purchase on Nov. 16 and 17 at the Grayslake Campus, 19351 W. Washington St. The sale will be held in the Library Atrium from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Nov. 16 and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Nov. 17.

Hundreds of unique, handmade porcelain and stoneware pieces -- both thrown and hand-built -- will be on display during the two-day sale. Artists will be on hand to answer questions about their work, from conception to finished piece.

Proceeds from the sale will be used to defray the cost of workshops and presentations by visiting ceramic artists, and to purchase new equipment for CLC’s ceramics studio. The sale also provides student artists with the experience of showing, pricing and selling their work.

For more information about the sale, the ceramic art club and ceramics classes, contact David Bolton, ceramics instructor, at (847) 543-2437 or via e-mail.
