College of Lake County students transferring to the University of Iowa with an Associate in Arts degree can now be guaranteed admission to the University of Iowa’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Additionally, those students will now meet all general education requirements (with the exception of the respective world language requirement and the diversity and inclusion requirement) for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, College of Education, Tippie College of Business and University College.

CLC now has partnerships with 23 four-year institutions that provide guaranteed transfer admission to CLC students who meet the requirements outlined in the partnership agreement while they are CLC students.

These colleges and universities offer special incentives and guaranteed admission, ensuring a seamless transfer of credit to the four-year colleges and universities. CLC students can start planning their educational path sooner knowing where they will be transferring to after CLC, according to Karen Hlavin, associate vice president of student development. “We are pleased to add the University of Iowa to our list of university partners that offer CLC student guaranteed admission.”
