“Animaniacs in Concert,” starring Rob Paulsen and Randy Rogel, will be performed at the James Lumber Center for the Performing Arts at the College of Lake County at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 4. The hilarious and beloved ‘90s animated series starring the wacky Warner Brothers is back in live form in a zany, effervescent show that mixes wit, wordplay, slapstick, pop culture and music with iconic voices and characters, along with an original score for every cartoon.

The concert will feature more than 20 of the most popular songs from Animaniacs, including “Yakko’s World” and “I’m Mad.”

Paulsen is a legendary voice actor who has entertained generations of animation fanatics with his signature roles in “Pinky and the Brain,” “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” and dozens of other beloved film and television projects. For Paulsen, the return to work is a triumph. Diagnosed with throat cancer two years ago, he only told a few friends and professional colleagues, facing the possibility that his three-decades long career might be over. But the man of a hundred voices is now cancer free and performing across the country.

In addition to the music, Paulsen and Rogel will share fun anecdotes and silly secrets from producing “Animaniacs.” Rogel is a three-time Emmy Award winner who began as an original writer on “Batman: The Animated Series” before joining the creative team of “Animaniacs,” writing most of the songs and many of the scripts.
