The Southlake Campus offers students a variety of educational options. Many students attend Southlake for an education that will immediately lead to a satisfying career. Other students come to gain college credit and transfer to a four-year college or university. Some students come to Southlake to attend courses in order to improve their English language skills. Business and other professionals may attend to develop a specific job skill or to continue the process of lifelong learning. Regardless of your educational goals, Southlake is here to assist you in successfully navigating your own path to success.
CLC offers a variety of programs at the Southlake Campus:
- Transfer Programs—transfer to a four-year college or university
- Career Programs—start a career immediately after graduating
- ESL—language instruction to adults whose native language is not English
- Discovery/Quest—The Discovery! Program is designed especially for adults over 50 who share a love for learning. Quest meets for four consecutive days each summer to study a topic in-depth.
Degrees
Associate in Arts Degree
Students can earn an associate in arts (A.A.) degree by attending the Southlake Campus exclusively. Transfer and career courses that lead to an associate in science (A.S.) and associate in applied science (A.A.S.) degrees are also offered at the Southlake Campus.
Associate in Applied Science Degree in Nanoscience Technology
Through a partnership with Harper College, CLC students are able to complete an associate in applied science degree in Nanoscience Technology. Nanoscience Technology courses are taken exclusively at the Southlake Campus.
Certificates
Massage Therapy
The College of Lake County's Massage Therapy Program is presented in partnership with MRxI and Arizona-based A.S.I.S. Massage, a Kushan Company. A.S.I.S. Massage has been delivering high-quality massage therapy instruction for over thirteen years. This makes it the oldest massage therapy school in Northern Arizona. All faculty members are licensed massage therapists with expertise in the specialized areas in which they teach. Students who successfully complete the full Massage Therapy curriculum will earn a certificate of completion from A.S.I.S. Coursework is exclusive to the Southlake Campus.
Personal Training
The Personal Training certificate program is designed to provide students with the knowledge skills and experience necessary to seek out and maintain viable employment in the health and fitness industry. Curricula are aligned with the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) Program. Students will also be encouraged to take the ACSM-CPT examination upon successful completion of program coursework. Coursework for the Personal Training certificate is offered at the Southlake Campus.
Wellness Coaching
The Wellness Coaching Certificate Program is designed to provide students with an introduction to the field of wellness and life coaching. Successful completion of required coursework will assist students with preparation necessary to complete their national certification in wellness or life coaching. It will also enable students to utilize acquired knowledge and skills to enhance existing professional responsibilities. Coursework for the Wellness Coaching certificate is offered at the Southlake Campus.
