Prairie Voices is a collection of student writing and art which is published annually in April. It represents the diverse voices of the student community of the College of Lake County.

Submission Guidelines

Submissions are invited throughout the year. Send a maximum of five pieces that can range in genre from personal essays, poems, short fiction, and research papers up to 2,500 words (10 pages double-spaced). All work should be unpublished. Manuscripts will not be returned unless requested. Contributors must be students at the college.

Reading

A reading is held annually at the College of Lake County in mid-April. Writers published in the current issue are invited to read from their work and to meet with other student writers at the college.

Copies are available for purchase for $5 in the CLC bookstore.
