General Education Development (GED) preparation classes prepare students to take the high school equivalency exam. This exam includes tests in Writing, Literature, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. In addition, the course prepares the students to take the U.S. and Illinois Constitution Tests. Special GED test regulations apply to students under age 19. Contact the Testing Center for exceptions to this rule (847-543-2076). Two levels of GED preparation are offered at various locations and times. Scores on the placement test will determine the student's level of instruction.
