Easier-to-remember login,
more secure online access

The College of Lake County has launched a new login tool, myLogin, that lets students use the same username and password for accessing:

• myStudentCenter (registration, grades and bill payment)
• Blackboard (for course-related communications including participating in online courses)
• Student Email (a completely new email address)

With only one username and password, myLogin is easier to remember. And because you set your own user name and password, your personal information is better protected.

WHAT STUDENTS NEED TO DO

Old user names and passwords will no longer work; each student must set up myLogin. Here's how:

• If you are a new CLC student, all you'll need to start the process is your CLC student ID number.
• If you are an active/returning student, you will need your CLC ID number and PIN you have been using to register on myStudentCenter.
• Click on the "Create myLogin" link below and follow the prompts.
• After you have created myLogin, use myLogin whenever you wish to access myStudentCenter, Blackboard or student email. Please note: Though your user name and password will be same for each application, you will need to sign in to each separately.

myStudentCenter:

• After creating myLogin, you may login to myStudentCenter immediately.

Student Email:

• After creating myLogin, wait at least two hours for your email account to be ready for activation.
• Click on the "Activate Email" link below to set up your new email account.

Blackboard:

• After creating myLogin, wait at least four hours to login to Blackboard.

Why is CLC launching myLogin?

• Your personal information will be more secure because you create your own username and password.
• You'll have an easier-to-remember, student email address that will include the username you selected. (Your student email will change from username@lancermail.clcillinois.edu to username@stu.clcillinois.edu. You will, however, be able to retrieve old lancermail until Dec. 31, 2009.)
• You will be able to reset your password yourself using a new self service tool called "myLogin Management."
• You will have the same username and password for myStudentCenter, Blackboard and Windows Live student email.
