Skyway Conference History
The Skyway Community College Conference was founded in 1970. College of Lake County, Waubonsee, Oakton, Truman, Harper and Triton were charter members. McHenry, Morton, Elgin, Moraine Valley and Wright were added to the conference. Harper and Triton switched to the N4C Conference because it was a football conference while Truman and Wright dropped their sports programs leaving the 8 members (*). There have been (333) Skyway Conference Championships in the 13 sports that are offered. The following championships have been awarded to the member colleges:

The Skyway Conference initiated the All Sports Trophy in 1975. The College of Lake County has won the All Sports Trophy 22 of the 30 years.
