To facilitate global engagement and advance international education among CLC students, faculty and staff through the support of international educational exchange, programs and services.

Meet the Staff

Tammy Mireles, International Student Recruitment Coordinator

Tammy has worked in higher education for the past 12 years and has a M.S.Ed. in Adult and Higher Education and many years of experience dedicated to serving students in a college setting. She has traveled to 49 countries and has participated in several study and work abroad programs. 
Tammy travels internationally to meet with prospective students at recruitment fairs, high schools, and EducationUSA offices around the world. She is a member of many professional organizations and has presented at national and regional conferences. Tammy is available to assist prospective students with all of their questions about becoming a student at CLC!

Jacob Cushing, International Student Advisor

Jacob has been involved with international education for the past 8 years. In his role as the International Student Advisor, Jacob performs a broad range of duties to meet the needs of CLC international students. As a Designated School Official, Jacob advises students on maintaining lawful immigration status, issues I-20’s, and grants immigration benefits. He also provides international student services in non-academic areas such as coordinating international student admissions, new student orientation, insurance assistance, housing issues, and social activities. Jacob has extensive international travel experience and has lived and worked abroad. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in History, and Master of Arts in Education from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri.

Stefanie Enriquez, Senior Administrative Assistant

Stefanie Enriquez has worked and is a current student at the College of Lake County for the past 3 years. She started off working in the Student Center at both the Lakeshore Campus and Southlake Campus. She was later promoted to Senior Administrative Assistant in the Center for International Education. She assists Jacob and Tammy with prospective students and current students. She knows the process of becoming a student at CLC, and is dedicated to providing the best environment to all International Students.

International Education Committee

This committee meets regularly to advise, assist and promote projects and programs of the Center for International Education. They also assist Center staff to determine recipients for scholarships, grants and candidates for exchanges and teaching abroad.
