The Lake County Prevention Services Program, formerly known as inTouch, is offered through a partnership of the College of Lake County and the Lake County Health Department/Community Health Center.
The Prevention Services Program is an excellent resource for academic or personal information on substance abuse prevention and wellness. Additionally, the program offers videos and periodicals on loan to all Lake County residents. Free Clearinghouse materials and posters are also available.
The Prevention Services staff are available to conduct or assist in coordinating training for CLC, Lake County's schools, agencies, and communities. Topics include:
- Substance Abuse Trends Among Youth
- Drugs and Pop Culture
- Alcohol, tobacco, and other drug specific issues as well as leadership, team building, and lifeskills
- Effective prevention strategies
- Community coalition building
- The Strategic Prevention Framework in alcohol, tobacco and other drug prevention
