Wind Ensemble
College of Lake County Wind Ensemble, conducted by Dr. Michael Flack, is our premier concert organization, and is open to fifty-five students and community members by audition only. The Wind Ensemble rehearses one day a week for two hours, and consists of highly skilled musicians from the Lake County region. In addition to the annual four-concert schedule, the ensemble performs special concerts with guest artists and conductors, including conductors John Paynter, Keith Brion, Donald DeRoche, and Don Owens, as well as guest soloists Armando Ghitalla, trumpet; Harvey Phillips, tuba; Brian Bowman, euphonium; and Byron Stripling, trumpet. Concert Band
College of Lake County Concert Band, conducted by John Mose, is a non-auditioned group, and is open to CLC students and community members. The Concert Band rehearses one day a week for two hours, and performs one concert per semester. For more information, contact Dr. Michael Flack.
Monday Night Jazz Band
College of Lake County Monday Night Jazz Ensemble, directed by Dr. Michael Flack, is our premier jazz organization, and is open to twenty students and community members by audition only. The Jazz Ensemble rehearses one day a week for two hours, and consists of performers from the Lake County region. In addition to the annual five concert schedule, the ensemble performs special concerts with guest artists such as Clark Terry, trumpet; Conte Candoli, trumpet; Pete Christlieb, tenor saxophone; Eddie Daniels, clarinet; Bill Watrous, trombone; Louie Bellson, drums; Carl Fontana, trombone; Arturo Sandoval, trumpet; and Maynard Ferguson, trumpet. Tuesday Night Jazz Band
College of Lake County Tuesday Night Jazz Ensemble, directed by Dave Hibbard, is a non-auditioned group, and is open to CLC students and community members.
