Explore the world of AutoCAD drafting software with licensed civil engineer and CLC credit instructor, Karen Schweiss. Learn the fundamental features and basic drawing and editing commands along with these topics: understanding and creating layers, dimensioning and plotting. Draw new objects into existence. Bring your own flash drive to class. Taken Intro. to AutoCAD before? You are welcome to register again for more independent work and exploration.

CSCC 6 Introduction to Design Thinking: Inventions (Grades 3-5)

Learn how designers use creative ideas to solve problems for other people. Work through the process of design thinking from defining a problem to creating a prototype solution. Practice teamwork and collaborative skills as you brainstorm ideas, solutions and possible modifications throughout the design process.

CSCC 10 Solve and Design an Escape Room Challenge Course: Codes, Cyphers, Puzzles (Grades 6-8)

Test your math, science, creativity and critical thinking skills by solving escape room challenges. Complete various "breakout boxes" with partners to get a feel for how these games are created. Then design your own escape room challenge course. Codes, cyphers, logic and puzzles are all part of the fun. Family members are invited to attend a portion of the last day of camp to see if they have what it takes to escape!

CSCC 11 It's a Bird's Life - Food, Nests, Migration (Grades 3-5)

Are you fascinated by our feathered friends? What does it mean to eat like a bird? Join other bird lovers to examine what makes birds unique: eating habits, migration patterns and nest construction. Enjoy hands-on experiments such as building bird beaks, dissecting owl pellets and creating birds' nests. Whether you're a fan of the cardinals, orioles, eagles or ravens you'll love this camp.

Through problem-solving activities, hands-on projects and experiments, explore how the human body works. Develop an understanding of the amazing connections between our body and our senses.

Learn about estimation, data collection, classification and patterns as you create and solve problems.

CSCC 30 Does Form Follow Function? Let's Find Out with Introduction to 3D Engineering Design (Grades 6-9)

Explore the principles of engineering design while learning the basics of solid modeling software. Create a one-of-a-kind charm, custom fidget toy or key chain. Print your final design on a 3D printer or carve on a CNC machine. Bring your own flash drive to class. Final projects will be distributed a short time after camp ends.
