Financial Aid Procedures and Guidelines for 2007-2008

Loan Procedure

In order to apply for a Federal Stafford Loan at CLC, you must:

  1. Submit a Stafford Loan Application.
  2. Select a lender and enter the name of the lender and the lender's School Code on the Loan Request form.
  3. Have a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file at CLC.
  4. Be admitted to an eligible program of study and enrolled at least half time (six credit hours) at the time the loan is disbursed to your student account.
  5. Complete Entrance Loan Counseling.
  6. Complete the verification process if you are selected for verification on your FAFSA.
  7. Meet CLC's standards of satisfactory academic progress.

Please note that the college certifies the loan amounts listed below.
