Financial Aid Procedures and Guidelines for 2008-2009 and 2009-2010

Loan Procedure

In order to apply for a Federal Stafford Loan at CLC, you must:

  1. Submit a CLC Federal Stafford Loan RequestWorksheet 2009/2010.
  2. Entrance Loan Counseling 2009/2010
  3. CLC Parent PLUS Request Loan Worksheet 2009/2010.
  4. Complete your 2009/2010 Master Promissory Note online. (If you have trouble with the Master Promissory Note, please contact the Direct Loan Origination Center at 800-557-7394)
  5. Complete the verification process if you are selected for verification on your FAFSA.
  6. Meet CLC's standards of satisfactory academic progress.

NSLDS Information

Information regarding Federal Stafford Loans will be reported to the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) with the U.S. Department of Education's (ED's) central database for student aid. NSLDS receives data from schools, guaranty agencies, the Direct Loan program, and other Department of ED programs. NSLDS Student Access provides a centralized, integrated view of Title IV loans and grants so that recipients of Title IV Aid can access and inquire about their Title IV loans and/or grant data. This information will also be accessible to authorized users of the NSLDS, such as guaranty agencies, eligible lenders, and eligible institutions of higher education.
