New Student Orientation Advisement Days

If you are a new student who plans to earn an associate degree or certificate, or transfer to a four-year college or university, you will need to attend a New Student Orientation session. 2008 high school graduates must receive academic advising through the New Student Orientation program before registering for classes. Attending one of the sessions is a convenient way to learn about the college and prepare for your first semester at CLC.

Register for NSO Advisement Days

The Advisement Day includes:
  • Campus tour
  • Multimedia presentation about academics at CLC
  • Information about financial aid opportunities
  • Personal meeting with an academic advisor
  • Class registration with assistance from staff

Orientation sessions are for students who have an application for admission on file and have met the admission requirements.

Advisement Information Meetings (AIM)

Advisement Information Meetings (AIMs) are for new students who need information on the college's academic programs and policies. AIMs are intended primarily for students who are returning adults, are attending part-time or are course takers, but any student is welcome. These programs are approximately one hour in length.

Sign up at the Counseling Center in C110 or by phone at (847) 543-2060. For more information, visit the Returning Adults Web page or view the A.I.M. Workbook (PDF).
