Program of Study: Art
Academic Division: Communication Arts, Humanities and Fine Arts
The College of Lake County Art Department provides opportunities to study art history, photography, drawing and painting, water color, computer art, ceramics, sculpture, and jewelry making. The courses are demanding, as they prepare students to transfer to a baccalaureate program. Many of CLC’s art graduates continue at schools including the Milwaukee School of Art and Design, Southern Illinois University and the Art Institute of Chicago. Others continue their study of art for personal satisfaction or to develop their skills and perspectives as professional artists.
