Cyber crime is growing, and so is the need for skilled employees who are able to detect and prevent it. CLC offers an A.A.S. degree and two certificate programs in Computer Forensics. Computer Forensics A.A.S. DegreeThe A.A.S. degree requires 18 credit hours of general education courses, 12 credits in criminal justice and 30 credits in computer forensics. Students will learn to gather, retrieve and evaluate electronic data and document investigative findings. These skills are in high demand by law enforcement agencies and corporations, and they are a great addition to the skill set of all computer professionals. Computer Forensics TechnicianCertificate (18 credits)This certificate is designed for individuals in both law enforcement and the private sector. The primary responsibility of computer forensics technicians is investigating and securing evidence on computer hard drives. Additional skills include crime scene note-taking and report writing. Computer Forensics AnalystCertificate (30 credits)This certificate is designed for individuals in both law enforcement and the private sector. The primary responsibility of computer forensics alalysts is investigating, securing and analyzing evidence on computer hard drives and networks.
