Program of Study: Library Technical Assistant
Academic Division: Communication Arts, Humanities and Fine Arts
Graduates of the Library Technical Assistant (LTA) program find employment in public and private schools, public libraries, academic libraries, and special libraries such as those found in legal or corporate offices. Trained in the organization and management of library-based information, LTAs may work directly with patrons answering questions, finding reference materials, using automated systems, and checking out items. They may also work behind the scenes acquiring, organizing and preparing materials for use. If you enjoy organizing and searching out information, a career as a Library Technical Assistant may be a great choice for you.
