Career Program Student Support Services
Career program student support services are provided by the Carl D. Perkins Vocational and Technical Education Grant, funded by the U.S. Department of Education, to students in career and technical education programs.
InTouch Resource Center
The InTouch Resource Center is an excellent resource for academic or personal information on substance abuse prevention and wellness.
General Education Resources
On the General Education Resources page, students will find help with writing, speech anxiety, reading strategies, math tutorials, and more. The goal of General Education at CLC is to provide students with specific knowledge and skills in the following areas through coursework across the curriculum:
- Critical thinking
- Written and oral communication
- Reading
- Math/quantitative literacy
- Social and cultural awareness
- Technical and information literacy
Women's Center
The purpose of the Women's Center is to serve the unique needs of the College’s female students, staff and community members by providing a safe physical location that offers the following: consultation/referral to counseling, support/discussion groups, workshops, gender-specific resources, networking opportunities and county referral, outreach programming, celebrations, and speakers on women’s and gender issues.
New Student Mentoring Program
The Mentoring Program is designed to help new students become successful in college. Faculty and staff mentors provide students with information, support and encouragement on a weekly basis. Newsletters with college survival tips, important dates, student services and activities are provided monthly.
