Please be aware that transfer planning is a detailed process! Therefore, students who are planning to transfer from CLC to a 4-year institution are encouraged to meet with a counselor early and often in their academic program.
CLC Counselors are available to assist you in determining the required courses and in planning your semester by semester coursework in order to fulfill the requirements. The best times for scheduling transfer planning appointments with a counselor are during the following months:
September-October February-March May-June
Meet with a Counselor
By meeting with a counselor prior to the registration period, you will ensure an adequate amount of one-on-one meeting time so that all transfer related issues can be fully discussed.
Counselors at CLC also serve as liaisons to schools
in Illinois and to University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
Transfer Planning Guides for various colleges and universities are available online and outside the Counseling office (C110). They provide useful information including tuition, contact numbers, and application deadlines. Transfer Planning Guides specific to various majors are also available and list a recommended course of study. Links to course equivalency guides, college catalogs and information for admitted students are also available.
