Computerized Numerical Control Programming (CNC)

CNC Operators Certificate: Through a partnership with Adult Basic Education, the CNC department is offering a certificate program that will provide additional Math and English support with an Adult Education instructor in the classroom. This certificate can be completed in three semesters, 9 credit hours. Technical courses include Machine Trades Blueprint Reading, Machining Principles, and CNC Operations.

Nanoscience Technology

Through a partnership with Harper College, CLC students are able to complete an associate in applied science degree in Nanoscience Technology.

Nanoscience Technology A.A.S. Degree: Forty-three credits of the degree are taken at CLC, and 21-23 credits are taken at Harper College in Palatine. The degree is granted by Harper College upon successful completion of all program requirements. Nanoscience Technology courses are taken at the Southlake Campus in Vernon Hills.

Welding

In addition to general information about the Welding program, the following information sessions will provide information about the Adult Education Accelerating Opportunities Program. Wireless Network Security and Fiber Optic Technician

Objectives of the Fiber Optics Technician Certificate include preparing technicians to work as fiber optics installers and instructing engineers and IT managers in the fundamentals of fiber optic networking. Students will have an opportunity to get hands-on experience with fiber optic cabling, connectors, splices and tools, power budgets, fiber optic design, installation and testing, and broadband applications. Students completing the certificate will have a solid foundation in fiber optic networking and will also be prepared to attempt industry supported examinations.
