IGEN Career Pathways

 

In 2011, in support of the Illinois Green Economy Network (IGEN)’s work to grow the green economy in Illinois, a grant was awarded to a consortium of 17 IGEN colleges. The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training (TAACCCT) grant, or TAA for short, has named the College of Lake County as the administrative agent to create 32 degree and certificate programs in the online platform NTER (National Training & Education Resource). The programs are being created to prepare unemployed workers for green economy careers in

  • Architecture and Construction Science
  • Science, Technology, Engineering and Math
  • Manufacturing
  • Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources
  • Transportation, Distribution and Logistics
