The Southlake Educational Center in Vernon Hills serves southwest and southeast Lake County, offering a variety of credit and non-credit instructional programs along with many student services to support learning. Facilities include four computer laboratories, a distance learning room, six classrooms and an administrative office.
Credit Programs
The Southlake Educational Center offers courses that can be applied to one of the college's transfer degree options. (These are courses that transfer to a four-year college or university toward a bachelor's degree.) Currently, the center also offers courses that may be applied toward the college's career programs in health information technology, computer information systems, multimedia communications, and small business management.
Non-credit Programs
Southlake offers several non-credit options, including English as a Second Language courses for new immigrants and non-credit courses for personal enrichment and career development. Other options are the Discovery and Quest programs for adults 50 and older and contract training for employers provided through the college's Business and Industry Services Department.

Admissions, Registration, Tuition Payments, ESL Intake daily. By apppointment, Academic and Career counseling, Proficiency and Basic Skills testing. Bookstore open during the 1st week of classes each semester.
