Keith Cornille, Ed.D.

Dr. Cornille is currently Executive Vice President/Chief Student Services Officer at Madison Area Technical College (Madison, Wis.) where he is responsible for the leadership and oversight of enrollment and student services; presenting programs and services that promote student development, building inclusive learning communities and preparing students for successful work and global citizenship. During his time at Madison College, he has held a variety of positions including Dean for the School of Academic Advancement.

Prior to that, Dr. Cornille served in various student services positions at Indiana University-Southeast (New Albany, Ind.), College of DuPage (Glen Ellyn, Ill.) and Richard J. Daley College, Chicago. Dr. Cornille earned a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Edgewood College (Madison), a master’s in education administration from Northeastern Illinois University, a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Eastern Illinois University and an Associate of Arts from College of DuPage.

Dr. Cornille’s philosophy as an educator is rooted in the simple principle that education is essential to the economic, intellectual and social growth and development of a community, and insuring the opportunity for the sharing of differing ideas and opinions. He believes in creating opportunities and in organizations that build inclusive quality learning communities that provide access to higher education for all learners, while remaining accountable to the students and communities served, and ensuring that we are reflective and responsive to the community needs.

Keith grew up in the Chicago suburbs with his 10 brothers and sisters and parents, who stressed the importance of education, honesty and family as well as the values of respect, compassion and integrity.
