More than 50 Transfer Majors

The College of Lake County’s transfer programs allow you to complete the first two years of your bachelor’s degree at CLC and then complete your junior and senior years at a four-year college or university.

Transfer programs work because the freshman and sophomore years in a bachelor’s degree program are largely focused on “general education” requirements, and courses meeting these requirements are very similar at most institutions—four-year schools and community colleges like CLC.

Though you may transfer your credits without earning an associate degree—an Associate in Arts, Science, Fine Arts, Engineering Science or Secondary Teaching, CLC recommends that you complete the associate degree before transferring. Students who transfer with an associate degree generally out-perform students who don’t.
