My favorite class at CLC was Introduction to Sociology because we looked at how society works and analyzed patterns within it. It made me think about my own behaviors. And in my Introduction to Ethics class, I was asked questions that made me think about what I believe to be right and why I thought this way.

It’s been great to learn in such a diverse atmosphere. Peers of different backgrounds have been able to provide new perceptions and new ideas that I never thought of. By having this diversity, I learned how to work with, and learn from, people who are different from me. I also have made some great friends at CLC through class discussions and by socializing in the lobby area.

I enrolled at CLC because I have a great family and awesome friends from high school in the area, and I didn’t want to part with them. In addition, I decided that CLC was the best option for me financially, since I hope to attend graduate school down the road.

At the college, my professors gave me more responsibility for my education and the success of my college career. Because of this new responsibility, I became more involved in my classes and sought out help when I needed it.

After earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Iowa, I plan to attend graduate school in Chicago and eventually earn a doctorate in clinical psychology. My ideal career is to work as a clinical psychologist.
