CLC offers international students an excellent Intensive English Language instruction program. This program was recognized as one of the top five community college English as a Second Language programs in the U.S. by the Council for Advancement of Adult Literacy in 2007.

Student Story
Jin Hui Su from Dominica
Jin is taking pre-med courses at College of Lake County. He plans to transfer to NIU after completing his degree and study Biology. He will then return to his home country to attend medical school.
Jin is President of the International Club 2008-2009 and works part-time in the computer lab at CLC.
