Financial literacy is the ability to understand how money works in the world and how that affects you.  It is the knowledge and skills you need to make decisions about how to spend your money and save and invest it.

Why Do You Need to Learn Financial Literacy?

Financial literacy is a learned skill, and if you’re like most students, your high school curriculum didn’t cover it.  No one probably taught you about credit card or student loan interest rates and how they can saddle you with huge debt. Nor did anyone teach you how to evaluate the return and risk of different investment options. But having this knowledge is truly life essential. It can mean the difference between having to worry about money and having a comfortable and secure future.
