Jobs for Students

The Student Employment Program is administered by the College of Lake County’s (CLC) Career & Job Placement Center Office. There are three (3) different programs available to students who seek employment though CLC’s Work-Study Program: (1) The Federal Student Employment (FSE) program and (2) The Institutional Student Employment (ISE) program, (3) The College Student Employment (CSE) program.

Federal Student Employment (FSE)

The FSE program at CLC is funded by the U.S. Department of Education and is primarily a campus-based financial aid program available to students who are recipients of a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) award. Federal Student Employment (FSE) is considered a form of financial aid, and is therefore subject to all Federal guidelines and policies governing financial aid programs. Career & Placement Services has also identified select and eligible off-campus non-profit organizations to participate in CLC’s Work-Study Program. Any student awarded FAFSA will be considered for employment, provided that funding is still available.

If you have questions regarding your eligibility for FAFSA or anything related to financial aid, please contact the Financial Aid Office.

Institutional Student Employment (ISE)

Students who are not eligible or who have not applied for a FAFSA award may pursue student employment through ISE. ISE positions are funded through College departmental budgets and are available on a limited basis.

College Student Employment (CSE)

Students who are not eligible or who have not applied for a FAFSA award may also pursue student employment through CSE.

International students may apply for on campus positions through ISE and CSE.
