About the Lab

To compete in a global economy, Lake County and Illinois need to produce engineers, technicians and other designers who can develop the next buzz-worthy products. Thanks to funding provided by Baxter International Inc., the College of Lake County will create the Baxter Innovation Lab providing a cutting-edge workshop with opportunities for individuals and groups to design and fabricate prototypes with the latest software, tools and equipment.

The facility will be an open lab environment where users can:

  • brainstorm conceptual designs
  • create and test their prototypes
  • exchange their ideas with others around the globe
