How to Get Started with ABE, GED or ESL Courses

1. Complete the Student Admission Form online or in-person.

  • Online
    After you submit the form, as long as you have provided an email address, you will receive your username and temporary password in two separate emails. You will also receive your username and password in two letters through U.S. Mail. When you have your username and temporary password, call (847) 543-2445 or (847) 543-2021 for information about placement testing and registration.

    Staff will help you fill out the form and provide information about placement testing and registration.

      (The Adult Education office is located at the Northeast corner of Washington and Genesee.)

3. Register.

After your placement test, you will receive information on registration.

You will need to know your CLC ID to register. Your CLC ID (e.g. student ID) is the 7-digit ID assigned to you after your admission to CLC. You can find your CLC ID on your welcome letter or any prior class schedule. If you need assistance, please contact the office of Registrar and Records.
