Door County Watercolor Plein-Aire Course

June 5 to June 9, 2019


The 2019 Door County Plein Aire Course/trip is designed for beginning and advanced painters/watercolorists to paint in plein air (in fresh air). The instructor, Bob Lossmann, will do daily demonstrations and assist each student with his or her individual painting level.

Students on Door County trip with instructor, Bob Lossman This year’s course will be held at the Alpine Inn located on the waterfront in Egg Harbor, Wisconsin. The advantages of the Alpine Inn include facilities for breakfast, a pool for the brave souls during the first week of June, a veranda in case of rain, an excellent view, and an indoor space for painting and critiques. If you would like to extend your stay and/or arrive early, please let Bob Lossmann know. A critique session is scheduled for June 13, 2019 at the Grayslake Campus at Noon in Room D104.

Cost

Costs will be tuition for the two-credit course through the College of Lake County plus food and lodging. Cost of lodging is $90.00 per night ($45.00 per person) plus tax, for four nights, double occupancy. A single room is $78.00 per night, plus 11% tax. There are also housekeeping cottages for rent on the grounds. If interested, see Bob Lossmann. Carpooling is an excellent idea. If you would like to share a ride, let Bob know.
