Blackboard™ is the course management system used at College of Lake County. It allows faculty members to share general information, course lessons, and provides a space to collaborate via the Internet.

The opportunities for utilizing Blackboard are limitless. Many teachers use Blackboard as a resource in a traditional classroom to communicate course announcements, share the course syllabus, calendar, class files, and post grades.

Blackboard™ is also the platform used for hybrid and fully online courses. These courses utilize more advanced features and tools in Blackboard which allow faculty to post website links and videos, promote collaboration outside the classroom via class discussion forums and blogs, collect assignments, create tests, surveys, and more!
