Dual Enrollment

If you choose to take CLC classes as a dual enrollment student, you will attend your college classes after your high school day ends, on your own time. (CLC offers afternoon, evening and online course options.) You'll also be responsible for arranging for your own transportation to class and for paying your tuition. Like other CLC students, you will have access to the complete range of CLC support services (such as the library, advising and tutoring), and you can select the courses you're interested in. If you're looking for a little extra challenge, and want to get a jump start on college, this is a great option for you!

How to get started:

  • Your parent or guardian and school guidance counselor must approve your participation if you are under age 18. They can do this by completing the CLC Secondary School Reference form.
  • You will need to fill out the CLC Student Information form.
  • If you are under age 16, you will also need to submit your official high school transcript as well as a letter of recommendation from your high school.
  • You will need to meet CLC's prerequisites for the course you want to take. (They're listed in the CLC class schedule, along with the ways you can satisfy the prerequisites.) Help in selecting your courses is available from one of our advisers. Call (847) 543-2060 for an appointment.
