Yvonne Block is a full-time instructor at the College of Lake County where she teaches Business Communications and Business Mathematics in the Administrative Office Systems Department, Business Division. Yvonne has over 30 years of teaching experience, which includes teaching various business courses in secondary and higher education. In 2006, she received the NISOD Award for excellence in teaching and attended the NISOD conference in Austin, Texas, where she met other award winners.
She received her Masters Degree from the University of Wisconsin and online teaching certificate from University of Illinois. As a member of the National Business Education Association and Association of Business Communications, she keeps current in her field and updated on business trends and teaching methods.
Yvonne has been an active member on many committees at the College of Lake County and has been the Tech Prep Faculty coordinator for the past four years. She is involved with articulation agreements with high schools in the Lake County area.

Joe Gehrke has been a full-time faculty member in Administrative Office Systems since 2004. In his role as instructor, Joe genuinely cares about his students and strives to do whatever it takes to help them achieve their educational goals. He teaches a variety of courses including Business Communications, Business English, Business Mathematics, Keyboarding and Machine Transcription. Joe is a member of several professional organizations and currently represents the Business Division on the Faculty Development Advisory Committee.
Before joining the College of Lake County, Joe served as both a full-time faculty member and administrator at Northwestern Business College in Chicago.
Joe earned his bachelor's degree in business education from Illinois State University and graduated with a master's degree in instructional technology from Northern Illinois University. He resides in Arlington Heights with his wife, Lisa, and daughter, Sarah.

Preparing adults for successful employment in the business world is Lauren's main objective as an instructor and department chair of the Administrative Office Systems program. She has been employed full time at the College of Lake County since 1994 teaching introduction to computers courses as well as software application courses using Microsoft Word, Desktop Publishing using Word, and presentations with PowerPoint. She has been involved in course development, student advisement, and program hiring. Lauren is an active IAAP member, serves as a training consultant, and currently represents the college on several Advisory Boards.
Prior to her employment with the College of Lake County she was an adjunct faculty member at Triton College and at Oakton Community College.
Lauren is a graduate of DePaul University with a master's degree in business education, and has earned a second master's degree from Webster University in Computer Resource Information Management. She and her husband live in Prospect Heights with their three grown children.
