Getting Started

How to Get Started

Registration for EMT classes is processed directly through the individual site that is hosting the class (except for EMT 111 300, EMT-Basic at Vista West, which must be registered for at CLC).

You must complete CLC’s BIO 111 (Human Form & Function) or BIO 124 (Anatomy & Physiology) with a grade of C or better prior to enrolling in the EMT-Paramedic courses.

To get started, complete CLC’s application and placement process. For more information about the program, contact the department chair.

Payment Information

Payment for all classes is made to the hospital or fire and rescue department. Space is limited and classes fill up quickly.

Need-based financial aid is not available for the EMT program.

Information for Veterans

EMT-Basic and EMT-Paramedic courses are not eligible for Title IV aid. Only students eligible for benefits under the GI Bill, Illinois Veterans Grant, Illinois National Guard, or MIA/POW may receive financial aid for these programs.

For questions about veterans benefits, contact the Financial Aid Office veterans representative.
