Program of Study: Earth Science
Academic Division: Engineering, Math & Physical Sciences
Course Notes
All Earth Science Courses Have ESC Prefix
To simplify course registration, all of CLC's courses in geology, astronomy and other earth sciences have been re-branded under a common name, Earth Science, and will share a new prefix, ESC.
The move reflects the college's creation of an Earth Science program, which combines existing courses in geology, oceanography and astronomy with a new meteorology course. All of the courses were under the GEO prefix, except astronomy, which had the prefix AST.
The chart below lists the new course prefixes that appear in the fall 2008 class schedule.
