Two Convenient Medical Laboratory Programs

Oakton Community College's Medical Laboratory Program

CLC has a Joint Agreement with Oakton Community College with respect to Oakton's Medical Laboratory Technology Program. CLC students who are accepted into Oakton's MLT program will receive in-district tuition as a result of this agreement. Visit Oakton's web site for more information about Oakton's Medical Laboratory Technology program.

Kankakee's Medical Laboratory Program

Through a partnership with Kankakee Community College, CLC students are able to complete an Associate in Applied Science degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT). The majority of the courses in the program, including the general education and prerequisite courses, can be completed at College of Lake County. The Medical Lab Technology courses are provided online via the internet by Kankakee Community College, and the degree is granted by Kankakee Community College (KCC) upon successful completion of all coursework. For online courses in this curriculum, students meet every two weeks for laboratory sessions at KCC or a cooperating institution in the Lake County area. Clinical coursework is arranged at hospitals in the Lake County area. Visit Kankakee's web site for more information about Kankakee's Medical Laboratory Technology program.

The Medical Laboratory Technology program at KCC has limited enrollment and competitive admissions. Students should review the current eligibility and academic requirements for the program.
