About the Program
Welcome to the College of Lake County Music Department where you will find opportunities to study vocal and instrumental music. You may also take private lessons in piano, voice, wind instruments, guitar, bass, and percussion. Our faculty are not only dedicated and talented teachers, but are experienced performers in their respective fields. Contact any of our faculty to learn more about their work and your opportunities.
Music department concerts are performed by CLC students and community members, with occasional professional guest artists. The director of bands is Dr. Michael Flack, and the director of choirs is Dr. Charles Clency. The CLC Music Department offers 59 courses leading to three different degrees: Associate in Music, Associate in Fine Arts in music performance and Associate in Fine Arts in music education. For information on taking music courses for college credit, contact the Communication Arts, Humanities and Fine Arts Division.
