Paralegal Studies courses have been developed with the assistance of attorneys, paralegals, and paralegal educators. CLC's Paralegal Studies Program has been approved by the American Bar Association (ABA), making it Lake County's only ABA-approved paralegal program.
Knowledgeable & Experienced Faculty
Paralegal Studies classes are taught by faculty who have Juris Doctor degrees and work experience as paralegals or as supervisors of paralegals.
Opportunity to Obtain Real-World Experience
The Paralegal Studies curriculum includes the opportunity for an internship that enables students to apply their classroom learning to the legal environment.

- Demonstrate knowledge of the legal process
- Apply standard technical p[procedures in the delivery of legal services
- Identify legal and ethical issues and determine appropriate actions
- Develop and carry out legal research plans

- Prepare for and conduct effective interviews with clients or witnesses
- Apply knowledge of the legal process to various legal specialty areas such as litigation, administrative agency law, real estate law, and family law
