This course introduces students to the interdisciplinary study of American culture by examining the intercultural/multicultural ideas, processes, values, motifs, and traditions that have shaped our pluralistic society. American history, philosophy, literature, music, visual and performing arts will be studied. Emphasis will be placed on reflecting the diverse cultural constituency and racial and ethnic minorities. Prerequisite: Language Proficiency Schedule: HUM 221 is offered in the Spring 2010 term. | ||
