This course covers the function of HVAC Mechanical Codes including Building Officials and Code Administrators (BOCA) Mechanical Codes, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes, National Fuel Gas Codes, ASHRAE Standard Mechanical Refrigeration Codes, and National Electrical Codes. The course reinforces the requirements placed on contractors and installation personnel involved in the layout and installation of HVACR equipment.
Prerequisite: MTH 114 or higher or appropriate score on Math Placement test or Math ACT score of 17 or higher; and minimum APT score of 122 or minimum CELSA score of 50, or Language Proficiency; or Consent of Instructor | ||
