What is required to log in?


  • 1. Status as an 'active' student
  • 2. Know your CLC ID Number and PIN

Active Student
Students who have enrolled in classes at CLC in the last 5 years may login. If you have questions about your status, call Admissions at (847) 543-2061 during business hours.
CLC ID Number
A unique 7-digit number is assigned when you apply to CLC, and is used for registration. You can look up your CLC ID using our online CLC ID Lookup form if you do not remember it.
CLC PIN
A 6-digit number is assigned when you apply to CLC. Your PIN is initially set to date of birth, like mmddyy. To change your PIN, login to Self Service and click the 'Update PIN' link under the Personal section.

What if my ID and Password are not valid?

There are several reasons you may receive the following error at login:
Your User ID and/or Password are invalid.

  • You forgot to put an upper case 'W' in front of BOTH your CLC ID and CLC PIN.
  • You applied for admission within the last few days - Please allow 2 full working days to process your application for admission before you try to log on.
  • You forgot your PIN - Admissions staff can't view your PIN, but can reset it if you come into the Admissions Office in B101 - CLC Campus. Identification is required to reset a PIN.

If these don't apply to you - Please come to the Admissions Office, B101 on the Grayslake Campus, and ask to have your PIN reset. Identification is required.
