Services to Support Your Success

Academic AdvisementFree advisement is offered to help you select the right courses for your goals. Recent high school graduates are required to see an advisor.

Academic Coaching. Students in pre-college math, English and English Language Instruction (ELI) courses are automatically assigned an academic coach to help them succeed.

Bookstores. Textbooks can be purchased at bookstores at all three campuses.

CLC Police. Our police department is a full-service law enforcement agency.

Career Planning and Job Search Assistance. Choose from many services to help you explore career options, seek employment or find an internship or Co-Op experience.

Children’s Learning CentersNationally accredited centers are on our Grayslake and Lakeshore campuses.

Counseling Services. Access free counseling services for educational and career planning and personal development.

Financial Aid.  Apply for financial aid. Don’t assume you won’t qualify.

Health Center. Get confidential health services, including immunizations and health education programs, on the Grayslake Campus.

Library. Explore library resources and find hours of operation.

Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD)Access services for documented disabilities.

Parking. Parking varies by campus. See parking information for the GrayslakeLakeshore and Southlake campuses.

Paying Tuition. Choose one of our many tuition payment options, including installment payment.

Placement Testing. Take a variety of tests – college placement tests (Academic Proficiency); career program placement tests (such as NLN and others); GED, ACT, credit-by-exam (CLEP and DSST); tests for college courses (make up, online and teleweb tests), etc.

Public Transportation. CLC's Grayslake and Lakeshore (Waukegan) campuses are just a short bus ride on PACE. Visit for routes and schedule information.

Succeed at CLC Program. Attend workshops, study zones and connect events to help you reach your educational potential and career goals. The Succeed at CLC Program is open to all students.

Scholarships. In addition to state and federal financial aid, apply for scholarships through funded by the CLC Foundation.

Veterans. Get help in obtaining and using VA benefits and other veteran-specific services.
