Disney College Program

Are you looking for a magical internship? Look no further than the opportunity to work for the Walt Disney Company!

As a Disney College Program participant, you'll become part of the magic that is known worldwide. Gain valuable, on-the-job experience working in Disney parks and resorts, participate in college coursework and meet and live with people from all over the country and potentially the world, in company-sponsored housing. This truly unique five- to seven-month program allows participants to network with leaders, take part in personal and career development classes and build transferable skills such as problem solving, teamwork, guest service and effective communication.

Over the past several years close to 200 CLC students have participated in the Disney College Program. Here are some typical questions from potential participants.

What are the eligibility requirements?

  • Complete at least 9 college credit hours before leaving for Disney College Program
  • Have a GPA of 2.25+
  • Be at least 18 years old when arriving for Disney College Program

How do I apply?

  1. Complete an application online at www.disneycollegeprogram.com
  2. Complete an online interview consisting of several timed questions
  3. Participate in a phone interview with a Walt Disney Company recruiter

How can I improve my chances of acceptance to the program?

Contact the Career and Job Placement Center to make an appointment with a Career Specialist to review the details of the application process. The Career Specialist will help prepare you with a mock interview and give you inside information about the Disney College Program.

Can I earn college credit while on the Disney College Program?

Yes! You will be eligible to earn elective credit through the Cooperative Education/Educational Work Experience (EWE) program for up to 7 credits while on the Disney College Program.

Additionally, you may complete college-level classes at Disney University that will transfer back to CLC. Some of these classes include Disney Advanced Studies in Hospitality Management, Disney Corporate Communication, Disney Human Resource Management and Disney Organizational Leadership.

I’m not sure I want to take a semester “off” from college to pursue this internship.

Completing an internship is an opportunity to learn outside the classroom through networking with leaders from around the world, taking college-level classes and gaining employability skills necessary in every work place. Disney is a Fortune 100 company with the highest level of training for exceptional customer service. Many Disney College Program Alumni report having the Disney experience on their resume has opened new opportunities after completing the program. Employers love to hire people who have previous experience at Disney!
