Behavioral Intervention Team

Overview of Services

The Behavioral Intervention Team responds to students in crisis through a multidisciplinary approach that brings together counseling, student development and police staff. Acting as a team, these staff can provide broad perspectives on the crisis or risk, options for addressing it and resources that may help the student. In determining a course of action, the team responds out of concern for a student’s well-being and the well-being of the college. In addition to meeting as needed to address a specific crisis, the team also meets twice a month as part of the college’s effort to reduce or eliminate the risk of violence or danger on campus.
