Tutoring & Academic Support

Tutoring, Testing and Disabilities Services

A variety of services to support your academic success are housed inside the Learning Resource Center.  It is the cultural center of the college and, of course, includes the library. It is also home to the Math and Writing centers, where you can get tutoring and other support; the Testing Center, where you can take placement tests to meet proficiencies and prerequisites; and the Office for Students with Disabilities, providing a variety of accommodations and services for students with disabilities.

Student Success Sessions

You can also get help in sessions offered through a program called Succeed at CLC.  This program offers two types of academic help: Study Zones and mini-workshops on academic success topics. It also offers Game Nights to help you relax and unwind.

Coaching for Academic Success

Coaching for Academic Success is a holistic approach to supporting students in defining, assessing and achieving their academic goals.  CAS staff build confidence, intervene early and often, connect students to resources and collaborate across the college.

Online Resources for Success in General Education Courses

Many general education resources are available to help you complete the written, oral, reading, math, technology and information literacy requirements for classes.

Office for Students with Disabilities

This office has experience working with students with a wide range of needs. Some students have an obvious disability--they are blind, deaf or have a mobility need. Others, the majority, in fact, have an invisible disability like Attention Deficit Disorder, anxiety disorder or a learning disability. Whatever your need, we will work with you to develop reasonable accommodations to level the academic playing field.

Information Technology Services

Information Technology Services offers a 24/7 Student Service Desk to assist students with their technology needs.
