What is DSST?

DSST exams cover material taught in six subject areas:

  • Business
  • Humanities
  • Mathematics
  • Physical Sciences
  • Social Sciences
  • Technology

For more information about specific exams available, go to the DSST website: http://getcollegecredit.com/

How Do I Earn College Credit with DSST?

Each college/university has its own policy regarding which DSST exams will be accepted for credit, as well as how much credit will be awarded for a DSST exam.

Anyone may register to take a DSST exam at the College of Lake County.  However, CLC grants CLC course credit for DSST exams only to students enrolled at CLC.  Students hoping to transfer credit earned through DSST to another school should check with the transfer school to determine its policy toward earning credit-by-exam before registering to take their DSST exam at CLC.

Which DSST Exams Will CLC Accept for Credit?

The College of Lake County offers its students the opportunity to earn college credit for many DSST exams.
